A visit to Kingsley Plantation offers visitors an opportunity to discover and explore a significant period of American history. Visitors to the site will be immersed in the struggles, resilience and contributions of enslaved people and the absorbing story Zephaniah Kingsley and his ideas about race, economics and management of a Sea Island cotton plantation in Spanish Florida.
Visitors can explore the Planter’s residence, kitchen house, Sea Island cotton garden, old tabby barn and remnants of cabins that were home to the enslaved men, women and children who once worked and lived on the plantation.
